We had a very busy time this past month... not only did I celebrate the big 70... but the Mokum Mail Crew also traveled in Europe. We visited Salzburg in Austria, a true Christmas picture postcard town and a place well known from the 'Sound of Music' movie. Thank you very much for all the Happy Birthday cards and e-mail messages, it was the best party I had, EVER...!

Nevertheless, the crew has worked hard on the first free upgrade that will come to you soon, IF... you have purchased or upgraded to Mokum Mail v8.0, that is.

You know that we love adding pretty and fun graphical features like the 'Light Box' and the 'Greeting Card' goodees, but this time we have refurbished MM's Address Book and added a number of practical things, such as...

In the next version you will have an unlimited number of Address Books. This will be very handy when creating Address Books for Family & Friends, Business Contacts or your local Bowling Club.
You can copy or move one or more records from one Address Book to another in one go and...
You can clean up an Address Book by checkmarking one or more records and remove them all at one time.
While we were at it, we also extended the Group Mailing feature. You will be able to add e-mail addresses from any Address Book to any Group Mailing list on the fly.
When you do so, the program checks if the addressee isn't already in that mailing List group, so you will never end up having multiple entries of the same e-mail address in any Mailing List.

I think it will take about a week to fine-tune the new features (thanks Beta Testers!) and then I will send the free upgrade to all registered v8.0 users. You do not have to ask for it... I KNOW where you live!

To the MM LITE Users...

One of the changes made this year was switching from a 30 Trial Full version to the FREEWARE MM LITE version which never expires. The LITE version was designed for those more interested in plain text messages, but still has a few bells and whistles.

What..??? Is it December already...???

It seems (AGAIN!) like the year's end is quickly approaching. I know I am not alone when I say that time flies by tooo fast! This year was a busy one for Mokum Mail, as well. The Greeting Card feature and the Lightbox for sharing pictures were two new large additions amongst other enhancements added in Version 8.0. And if you haven't upgraded, there's still time! Any future upgrades will be FREE once you have Version 8!

As Joop said in his column... We are already working on very nice, yet simple to use new things....a GREAT enhancement of the address book that v8.0 Users will receive for free very soon, for one. And trying to incorporate newsgroups, for another, "but that's a different cookie..." Joop says. Trust me, we Beta Testers will keep the Old Man busy!

And for those of you still trying to find your way with all of the features, I will be re-doing all of the Tutorials and adding a couple new ones after the 1st of the year, so stay tuned!
