The LIGHTBOX is a technique you may have encountered when visiting a web page. We have incorporated it's use in Mokum Mail as another way you can share pictures or graphics in a message. You might also find it useful when creating your own personal web pages.
Start by using one of your own Themes or a Default background and follow the instructions below:
In MM's editor click on PICTURE and select a picture.
After selecting your picture, you will get this box. Checkmark the Lightbox option.
You will see the Lightbox window.
(Un-checkmark the Lightbox option to switch back to the Picture window)
Decide where to position the picture using either % or pixels; 'absolute' placement is advised.
Use some short text for your button, or browse to a small picture to use for your button.
There are also options for Border and Padding colors, sizes and styles.
The default overlay color is black and the opacity is 50%...These can also be changed if you want.
Type a short description for your picture (optional)
Click OK
Absolute vs Relative.
Absolute: the top-left position of the picture is measured from the top-left corner of your message. This is perfect for short messages that do not take more space than one screen. E.g. top:10% and left:20% will place the picture at 10 percent down from the very top of the message with a left margin of 20%.
Relative: the top-left position of the picture is measured from the BUTTON position. E.g. for the button that you see below, relative positioning is used, placing the picture 'higher' than the button by setting top:-50% and left:10%. Note the negative value of the 'top' parameter.
Using relative placement with top:0% and left:0% places the picture next to the button.
You can create as many Lightboxes as you want. Click on the button to see how it looks!

When testing your message in the browser, I would advise clicking on the 1024 x 768 button IF you have a wide screen monitor or your monitor resolution is higher than 1024. This way you can be assured that those with a lower resolution than yours will still be able to see things as you intend them to especially when clicking on the Lightbox images.
If the placement of all pictures are defined the same, using absolute placement, they will appear on the same place on the screen no matter which view button is clicked:
