THEME SCRIPTS 2.

The greeting at the top of this lesson is in fact another ThemeScript. Depending on the time of the day it will wish the reader a Good Morning, Good Afternoon or Good Evening.

First you should download the ZIP file that contains the scriptlet.

Step 1.
  • Click HERE to download the "Good Morning.ZIP" file.
  • Store the ZIP file in any temporary folder.
  • Use Explorer to browse to your Mokum Mail folder
  • Go into the folder \MM_Data and go into the folder \MM_ThemeScripts.
  • Create in that folder a new folder called "Good Morning" (sans quotes)
  • Unzip the file in there. The ZIP file contains a plain text .TXT file. The result should be a file called:
..\ MM_Data \ MM_ThemeScripts \ Good Morning \ Good Morning.TXT

Step 2.
  • Start MM and click on the 'Create Stationery' item.
  • In the Editor click on the THEME button.
  • Click on the 'Script File' button.
  • Browse to the folder ..\MM_Data \MM_ThemeScripts \Good Morning
  • Select the file "Good Morning.TXT"

  • Because the greeting will always be placed 100 pixels from the top, you must set the Top Margin to 150 pixels. Set the background to 'Scroll'.

  • Click on the SAVE button at the top, change the name of the Theme to "Good Morning" (sans quotes), and click the OK button.

Back in the editor you will see this line with double square brackets:

It does not matter where you place this line; because the placement of the greeting line is 'absolute' it will always be placed at 100 pixels from the top and 100 pixels from left. Of course you can always change these values by editing the file "Good Morning.TXT"

Click on the "View Message In Browser" button, or press Function Key F2, to see what this ThemeScript does,

Hopefully I have explained this so it is easy for all to understand!.
