by Karen Shirron. Print this lesson Using the Table Wizard for a slide show. Click HERE to see a sample slide show.
In the Table Wizard you see an option to create either a nested tables stationery with one (1) picture or a slide show.
When you select the slide show option, a click on the [..] file pick button will show you a new window where you can select the pictures for the show. With the arrow buttons on the right you can move a picture up or down in the list.
All pictures in the slides show are forced to the size of the FIRST picture. Note: the files are not really made smaller or larger... the images on screen are merely stretched or squeezed to have the same size as the first picture. Ideally all picture files should have the same size. 400 pixels wide and 300 pixels high in landscape format is perfect. Do not mix landscape and portrait pictures... the portrait pics will be stretched to landscape! You can use IrfanView to resize your photo's. Do not put too many pics in a slide show... the message size could become huge. In the Slide Shows you can set the Transition time and the Viewing time in seconds. This will give you even more freedom to create a slide show to your liking. Again, click often on the TEST button while you are defining all properties of your creation, to see how it looks so far. Note: the Table Wizard creates a COMPLETE HTML script for you. Once done you can save it as an .HTM file or - even better - as an .MMF file, ready to be used again later!
Play with this feature and show us a pretty slide show, made with your own pictures!
