by Karen L. Shirron. Print this lesson Using the Full Screen feature....another variation! This tutorial will show you a slightly different variation of a full screen stationery using Mokum Mail. Click HERE to see a sample of the effect you will get! Basically you will do most of what you did with Part A of this lesson and I will not repeat here the making of a simple theme. Supplies needed... You will need one seamless background tile and one large image (about 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels height is a good size and it will fit any screen resolution.) for this tutorial. Click HERE to download the zipped images if you want to use the ones I have used for practice, but I encourage you to use your own for the actual lesson! IF you downloaded my images from the first part of the lesson, you already have them! Let's get started! Open Mokum Mail and click on Create Stationery and then open your THEME window. Using the basic instructions from the first part of 5a, create a simple theme. For this one I will choose NOT to have any movement in the background. REMEMBER....at ANY time you can see how things are looking by clicking the VIEW button! Once done with your Theme window settings, SAVE and NAME this simple theme. Even without the FS properties, you now have another new theme for simple messages or replies! Click done and we are back in the Editor window. Before continuing, click done again and exit the editor and re-open with the CREATE NEW MESSAGE button so we can pick our recipient and have our "Hi" and "Bye" inserted. Be sure that your newly saved theme is open and we will now add the FS properties.
Next... Place your cursor between the FS tags and we will now insert the PICTURE we want added to the inside screen. Click on the PICTURE button and select your large photo. Set the placement to 'center'. If you want to lower the photo, put some BR line-break tags ahead of it.
After you have your text in place, let's highlight it and click on the [A] button to give the text the font and color. Your settings could easily be different than mine. I also choose to CENTER my text.
This is how the full screen part of your script should look now. Click on the image for a larger picture.
This is how it will look on a 'normal' 1024x768 monitor..
... and here you see it on a "wide screen" monitor.
Finally..... Your result should look something like this!! ![]()
![]()
... and this is the result on any monitor size.
NOTE: on wide screen monitors the picture will be stretched horizontally. Only use this script for land- or seascapes. Do not use it for a group photo... the people will look very 'fat' on a wide screen..!! That's It! You have just completed another variation using the Full Screen feature. I hope you have had fun with this feature! If you have any comments or questions, you can send me a message by clicking HERE ![]() Karen Shirron |
